    AIM & OBJECTIVES

    The objectives of this course are to provide the learner(s) with the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to prepare them for teaching in a range of contexts. It is intended to help the learner develop understanding of  lesson planning and delivery, as well as assessment and feedback.

    This course is intended for individuals seeking work in futher education or skills sectors.


    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

    Learners must be at least 19 years old.

    Learners would benefit from having minimum Level 2 skills in English, Maths and ICT, though this is not mandatory. 



    MAX. GROUP SIZE

    12 people



    DURATION

    The course will be conducted over 5 days, totalling 120 hours of learning



    DELIVERY & ASSESSMENT

    The course will be delivered through audio-visual presentations and practical demonstrations, where applicable. Learners will also have the opportunity to practice new skills under instructor supervision.



    This course involves a minimum of 35 hours of Guided Learning, during which the learner is taught and assessed under immediate supervision of an instructor over a 5 day period. The remaining 72 hours are allocated to self-directed study and practicing the taught methods without immediate supervision.



    Assessment for completion consists of competent demonstration of skills to the instructor and multiple choice tests for each unit.



    CERTIFICATION

    Successful candidates will receive a QA Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF).



    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    This is a Registered Qualification Framework, which is nationally recognised and regulated by Ofqual. 



    This course can be delivered at the clients specified location or on IVIC Training premises. Course fees are dependant on the size of the group to be taught and the venue/travel arrangements. This can be discussed with the course organiser during registration.
